    A starling murmuration in the sky above Hawick

    A murmuration of starlings is proving something of a talking point in the Wilton Hill area.

    Townsfolk have gathered to witness the impressive spectacle, as “thousands” of the birds twist, turn and swoop across the sky. They always do so just before dusk and above a communal roosting site.
