A local shopkeeper has branded news that shoplifting in Scotland has soared to a ten-year high as “shocking” and insists tougher measures are needed to deal with offenders.
Kat Yule, who runs Kat’s Corner Shop, has first-hand experience of theft from her Myreslawgreen convenience store, having previously been held at knifepoint by a thief ordering her to empty the till.
