    Christmas tree ‘beggars belief’, says councillor

    This year’s town Christmas tree, erected by Scottish Borders Council on Monday, has definitely not engendered the festive spirt among community councillors.

    Members at Monday night’s meeeting expressed their shock and disappointment over the tree which was thought to be too small.
