More than 300 shopping tasks have been completed by volunteers for households in need during the coronavirus lockdown.
Anne Adams, Hawick Resilience Group’s shopping team leader, has revealed that so many volunteers have come forward – around 100 – that they haven’t all been needed. Between March 27, when the service began, and April 19, she co-ordinated 310 shopping deliveries.
