    Frustration remains high in Hawick after representatives were given further details on the downgrade of the town’s fire station, which will be implemented over the next five years.

    The controversial move will see full-time cover at the station reduced from 24/7 to Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, with nighttime and weekend calls responded to by retained staff.
