    A senior Hawick councillor this week launched a blistering attack on those responsible for the decision to downgrade the town’s fire station to an office-hours operation.

    “This entire situation did not need to happen, but it has, and the fire service leadership and Scottish Government should be hanging their heads in shame,” fumed Stuart Marshall, pictured.
