    The premises at 4 Bourtree Place could become home to the town’s banking hub

    A long-awaited banking hub for the town has advanced a step closer, with proposals to convert the vacant former beds shop at 4 Bourtree Place under consideration.

    While a temporary location is yet to be confirmed, a planning application has been submitted to fully refit the unit to accommodate a permanent banking hub, following the planned closure of the High Street-based Bank of Scotland branch in October.
