Bonchester Bridge’s Yvonne Ridley has this week told of her “kidnap and capture” by Israel, after trying to breach its naval blockade of Gaza to deliver aid.
The journalist and activist, who has lived at Wolfelee Cottage since 2011, was previously detained for 11 days by the Taliban in Afghanistan in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.
