    Ex-Cornet Imrie: a true gentleman who loved the Common-Riding

    Ex-Cornet Carswell Imrie

    Heartfelt tributes have been paid to ex-Cornet Carswell Imrie, the Flag-bearer in 1966, who died earlier this month, just days before his 80th birthday.

    The two callants who followed him, and his closest of friends, George Peden and Elliot Hutton, said he was “the perfect gentleman”, while his Lass who would become his wife, Helen, said he had “a wonderful personality”.
