Roads were blocked and hundreds left without power as Storm Éowyn battered Hawick and the surrounding area last Friday.
The high winds wreaked havoc in and around the town, with fallen masonry and roof slates much in evidence, with chimneys, in particular, proving susceptible to the extreme gusts.
Schools, Borders College, and the vast majority of shops were closed, with Teries urged to stay at home and not to travel in the very dangerous conditions.
