    Hub’s volunteers pull out the stops for Christmas

    Christmas Eve saw 11 Burnfoot Community Hub volunteers distribute 370 kilos of surplus food from local supermarkets which would have otherwise gone to waste.

    The weeks of planning the festive initiative, part of the hub’s food share scheme,  ensured that 45 families benefitted from the annual event, which was described by Burnfoot Community Futures chairwoman Zoe Hall as “the cornerstone of what the hub is all about”.
