    Jobs have been shed at Emtelle’s Jedburgh factory

    Of the 12 jobs axed at Emtelle’s Jedburgh factory, 11 of the affected employees are understood to be from Hawick.

    Speaking to The Hawick Paper on condition of anonymity, one of the redundant workers from the firm’s fibre termination department claimed this week: “Most of the work we carried out will now be done in China and the new Emtelle super-factory in Dubai.
