    Cornet eyes ‘big moment’ with the Flag

    Common-Riding fever is set to reach its peak this weekend as Cornet Ryan Nichol, his Lass Kirsty McAllan, and Acting Father and Mother, Shane and Susan Coltman, look forward to what promises to be an unforgettable few days.

    With the Friday just hours away, there is, as always, a real buzz of excitement in the town, but before the main day, tonight (Thursday) sees one of the most impressive and colourful of all the Common-Riding ceremonies, the Colour-Bussing, at which the Cornet’s Lass will take centre stage.
