    ‘Positive’ outlook for school leavers

    Recent statistics show that the number of high school students entering further and higher education, training, or employment is at its highest level in five years, and well above the national average.

    Figures released by Scottish Borders Council reveal that 95.8 per cent of high school leavers went on to a “positive destination” last year. Of that number, 29.4 per cent secured employment – five per cent above the national average.
