    Halberdier Rob’s old diary reveals slice of town hall history

    A 1946 diary belonging to the then manager at the town hall and a Halberdier for some 30 years, reveals how the venue was used extensively for all kinds of functions.

    A second heirloom in the shape of an autograph book throws yet more light on the town hall of yesteryear as well as including drawings and comments by servicemen who were stationed at Stobs Camp during the Second World War.
