Women’s football is without doubt growing in popularity. Statistics reveal that there are now more females playing the game at all sort of levels than ever before. And Hawick is no exception with the town’s Border Ladies holding their own against sides from the Central Belt.
Formerly known as Hawick United Ladies Colts, the Border Ladies have asembled a good squad, and The Hawick Paper caught up with two of their longest-serving players, Katie McKinnon and Louise McWatters, plus coach Terry Storrie, to find out how the club has developed over the last few years.
