    Waverley Housing celebrates 30 years of making Borderers feel right at hame

    Waverley Housing have marked a milestone in the history of the company – having been in business for 30 years.

    Back in 1989, Madonna was topping the charts with Like a Prayer which is rather apt given that the founders of Waverley Housing – George Burt, chairman; Robert Johnson, general manager; John Jenkinson, housing services director; and Stephen Scott, finance services director – were hoping for divine intervention in ensuring their preparations over several months to create the company would pay off and that it would be a success.
