The countdown is on for the final flapping at the Moor this season.
The Peter Pan meeting will take place next Saturday (September 7) at St Leonards – with seven races on the card.
There will be five flaps and more than £6,000 of prize money up for grabs.
Why not go along and support the final meeting of the year?
It’s a great family day out with three poignant memorial races plus the legendary Rob Shiel disco.
Last weekend, at Irvine Moor, evergreen Titch Boyd bagged a double on the day of the Marymas Festival.
Titch has had a difficult season with his partner Elenanor having a few health issues and his horses had been running a little below par, but the performance was the perfect tonic.
There were four races, the first saw Cash It In, for St Andrews Racing, staying on well in the hands of Gary Berridge to win with plenty in had from the staying on Glensway View and Beseeingyou third.
The big race of the day had a first prize of £900 and odds-on favourite Handsome Harry under top weight of 12 stone gave Gary Berridge a double, winning from Seven Up and Catch The Pidgeon.
The penultimate race of the day was the one-and-a-half-mile race where Titch Boyd used all his years of experience to lead from start to finish on the outsider The Auctioneer.
The final race saw Titch complete an owner, trainer and jockey double on Catch The Pidgeon.
The seven-furlong race saw favourite Catch The Pidgeon hold on by a short head from Depth Charge with Rocky Hollow third. Well done to Titch.
