    Charabanc memorial unveiled

    One hundred years ago this week, June 7, 1919, a motor charabanc careered down the Nipknowes when the brakes on the vehicle appeared to fail, resulting in the deaths of three young men and two boys of primary school age, as well as 21 children and adults injured.
