    Hawick folk hit the ground running in long distance races all across the UK last weekend. 

    The London Marathon attracted at least eight runners from the town, the Stirling Half-Marathon featured at least five, while Mark Brotherston ran a 53-mile ultra-marathon alongside Loch Lomond.
