    Water turbine bid concerns

    The plan for an Archimedean Screw at the Cauld

    Concerns have been expressed over plans for a water turbine generator in the River Teviot.

    A planning application has been submitted by the Hawick Community Energy Group for what is known as an Archimedean Screw on land at the Cauld. The bid has been lodged in conjunction with the Hawick Flood Protection Scheme.
