    It may not have been Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre and there may have been no sign of Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins or Mark Selby.

    But Hawick Conservative Club served up some quality matches last Sunday with the staging of the Hawick Open Snooker Championships.

    It turned out to be a hotly contested tournament that began in mid-day and ended late into the evening.
