    Trees to get safety checks

    Trees in the Wilton Lodge Park area caused damage during recent storms and must be made safe

    Scottish Borders Council is to investigate the removal of dangerous trees in the Wilton Lodge Park area of Hawick.

    One resident Andrew Dobbie, 50, of Park View, has seen the damage caused from large oak and beech trees escalate in recent years and now, with the support of local councillor Stuart Marshall and the local authority, plans appear to be forming to have the troublesome trees removed.
