    Waverley and United both march on in Waddell Cup

    Hawick Waverley waltzed into the second round of the Waddell Cup by demolishing Tweeddale Rovers 8-1 at Peebles.

    This was another fine win for Waverley who have rattled away 15 goals in their last two outings.

    Although facing the wind, they produced the early initiative and Jason Inglis had an effort kept out by former Hawick Legion keeper Michael White, who was in the Tweeddale goal.
