    Near £200,000 Burnfoot boost for climate work

    Burnfoot Community Futures are creating a hub which will benefit local families

    Burnfoot Community Futures (BCF) has been awarded a grant totalling £193,852 from the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund (CCF).

    The cash boost, the only award of its kind in the south of Scotland, will go to the Burnfoot Grows Together project to reduce carbon emissions associated with food and to work with residents to increase local food production and consumption, and create food-growing space at both the Burnfoot Community Hub and Havelock Street-based Escape Youth Café.
