    It was like the Hawick ‘of old’ at Mansfield Park on Saturday with a powerful lesson for their Super Six opponents.

    The Greens showed no respect for reputations as they swept to victory with five tries and a second win bonus of the season.

    The performance, and not just the result, personified golden years of Hawick rugby and hopefully will be the first step on the ladder to coach George Graham’s mission to bring back high days in a season of mostly lows so far.
