Tributes were paid to local soldiers who gave their lives in the Great War, as a contingent of 94 visted more than 30 cemeteries in France and Belgium.
It was the latest such trip to be organised by Ian Landles and Derek Robertson, and saw the group travel almost 1,000 miles by coach, while being blessed with summer-like weather throughout.
Several of the party had relatives who never returned to their native haunts and the planned visits to cemeteries enabled them to pay their respects and leave wooden crosses and knitted poppies.
