    Andrew Mitchell breaks free and splits the Ayr defence for Hawick’s try at Millbrae

    The Greens were washed away in monsoon conditions at Millbrae as top-of-the- table Ayr stormed to victory.

    The game was over as a contest by half-time with Hawick 21-7 down – Andrew Mitchell’s impressive score, converted by Lee Armstrong, the only positive for George Graham’s men.
