    Ex-Cornet’s mum Dorothy celebrates her 105th birthday

    The mother of an Ex-Cornet has become the district’s oldest lady, after celebrating her 105th birthday last week.

    Dorothy McCrerie, whose son  Charlie led the Common-Riding in 1975, was the toast of Bonchester Bridge Care Centre last Friday when she reached the remarkable milestone.
