Tributes have been paid to ex-Cornet and former Greens skipper Rob Brydon who died suddenly at his home last Friday, aged 79.
Rob led the town’s celebrations in 1964, following in the footsteps of his father Bill who was Cornet in 1935. He captained the Greens in 1969 and was a member of the magnificent seven who won ten consecutive tournaments between 1966 and 1967.
