    Douglas retires after ‘favour’ leads to two decades’ service

    Long-serving Scottish Borders Council employee Douglas Newlands has retired after almost two decades with the local authority.

    Douglas, a schools support officer,  was honoured with a special presentation at last week’s Drumlanrig school ‘superhero’ assembly.
