    Goals galore as local sides hit the heights

    Hawick Waverley hit the goal trail again last Saturday with a runaway 9-2 win over Chirnside United at Wilton Lodge Park.

    Waverley took the lead in the sixth minute when Jordan Yardley started and finished a good move with Greg Ford.

    In the 23rd minute Simon Philbin put the home men further ahead.

    Two minutes later Stewart Kinghorn netted for Chirnside, but within minutes Yardley restored Waverley’s two-goal lead, blasting home a pass from Philbin.
