Partners involved in the Scottish Borders Diversity Week, with ten events starting in Hawick on Monday are, from left: Kenny Harrow, community learning and development, Scottish Borders Council; Lizzie Ireland, health improvement, equality and diversity, NHS Borders; Lesley Hume, cafe manager, Burnfoot Community Futures; Julia Cawthorne, librarian, Live Borders Libraries; Paul Scott, active schools manager, Live Borders; Val Garry, outreach worker, Congregational Community Church; Sara Blake, depute head teacher, Burnfoot Community School; and cook officer, Burnfoot Grows Together. Front: Sheridan Pollock and AJ Miller.

Ten events will be held in Hawick next week as part of the Scottish Borders Diversity Week.

The varied programme, September 17-23, is to celebrate, value and enjoy the diversity that exists in our community through the theme of “Belonging”, giving locals the opportunity to come together, feel connected and enjoy being part of the Scottish Borders.
