    Great War heroes to be honoured at the Haugh

    The Hawick branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland is to stage a Drumhead Service next month as a commemoration of the Armistice of 1918.

    The religious service, which will be held in the Haugh on Sunday, September 16, at 2pm, is designed to provide a short period of communal reflection to remember the peace which brought an end to the slaughter and suffering of the Great War.
