    There was no surprise result, no upsetting of the odds, no David and Goliath act.

    As expected Hawick Royal Albert tumbled out of the Scottish Cup in this preliminary round clash at the hands of Bonnyrigg.

    But for a team that was more or less thrown together, this bunch of Albert players can hold their heads up high as they gave a creditable account of themselves.
