    In what will be seen as a slap in the face for Hawick motorists, both supermarkets selling petrol in the town appear unwilling to explain why fuel is more expensive in Hawick than in Galashiels.

    Last week, we ran a story highlighting a six pence price difference at the pumps between Asda in Galashiels and Sainsbury’s and Morrisons in Hawick.
