    Councillor Watson McAteer has hit out at vandals who tore down a campervan sign at the Common Haugh.

    And although Scottish Borders Council is due to replace the sign at the request of Hawick Common Good Fund – the ward member told The Hawick Paper it was a mindless crime that could affect the local economy.
