A fund-raising drive to help send three local Girlguides on foreign trips was launched in fine style with a recent fashion show at the M&Co store at 74 High Street.
Around 65 people lined the shop’s catwalk as the girls of 3rd Hawick Guides and their siblings, pictured, strutted their stuff in various autumn/winter ranges.
And with £283 raised towards adventures abroad for Lana Burns (to India), Christy Manners (Denmark) and 2nd Hawick’s Lucy Brennan (Lesotho), the event has been hailed a huge success.
M&Co shop manager Amy Thomas said: “The fashion show was one of the best we’ve had in a long time and we were pleased to be able to help the girls.”
Each model showcased four fashion trends including Christmas jerseys and onesies, while the Guides also organised cake and candy and hampers.
Carol Wilson, 3rd Hawick Guides leader, added: “It was great and we were really pleased it went so well. Our fund-raising is off to a good start.”
