Hawick Hawks founder and head coach Craig Girvan is pictured with Martin Chandler of Elite Decor, who have donated £200 to sponsor new strips for the floorball club’s development team, Hawick Hurricaines.
Craig said: “The development team will provide youngsters with an opportunity to play and learn the game without the pressure that comes with playing for the Hawks.”
Meanwhile, Craig is preparing to launch a new floorball primary school league in the Borders.
He has over 50 players already and, starting later this month, hopes to rotate games between the new Kelso High School, Jedburgh Grammar and Hawick High.
