
Brothers Gareth and Glen Welsh both scored secondhalf tries to give Hawick Force a bonus-point win after a very poor first-half performance at Hartreemill.
Coach Dean McCracken was pleased with the result, but expressed “concern” about his team’s attitude in the first half.
It took a stern half-time team talk from coaches McCracken and Dean Robertson to get the team going after a lacklustre first half, but the young Robbie Dyes rolled up their sleeves and showed a vast improvement from the first 40 minutes.
