    In a game which was switched from Wilton Lodge Park to the 3G surface of the Volunteer Park, Hawick United booked themselves a place in the second round of the South of Scotland Cup.

    “We stuttered a bit in the first half, but were a lot more focussed in the second,” United manager Geo Shepherd told The Hawick Paper. “Linton are a league below us but they are a very decent side and made it really hard for us.
