    Following their triumph in the Football Nation Qualifying Cup the previous week, Hawick Royal Albert were hoping to pull off a similar winning result in this South of Scotland Challenge Cup clash.

    But Albert ended up on the wrong end of the result and had a man sent off after a row with a teammate.

    It was a game that Royalists manager Craig Tully felt his side should have won.
