    Campaign for Borders Rail, whose membership reached new heights when the 1000th member joined the effort to see the railway reach Hawick and Carlisle, is on track for a full-house AGM on Saturday.

    Guest speaker at the event will be recently appointed ScotRail Alliance managing director Alex Hynes, who is looking forward to taking charge of Scotland’s main rail operator.
