
Plans for a £6million “extra care” housing development at Stirches have been welcomed by Councillor Stuart Marshall as another great investment in the town.
The proposal – which will be designed with the elderly in mind – is part of a £110million spend in the Borders by Eildon Housing Association.
A needs-assessment study for extra care housing across the Borders concluded Hawick would require up to 50 units by 2035.
