    Charity is ‘overwhelmed’ by donations

    A local charity is celebrating a significant funding boost.

    Capability Scotland, based at 47 High Street, was one of four charities to benefit from the Presents Galore two-day event held at Springwood Park, Kelso last week organised by the Border Union Agriculture Society.

    Hawick manageress, Donna Mackie said: “We are still in the process of counting the money but we have exceeded £4,000.
