    Teries take the honours at Borders College graduation

    Two Hawick students took centre stage at the annual Borders College graduation ceremony last week, after being chosen to receive special awards.

    Around 600 graduates and guests attended the event held at Springwood Park in Kelso, but it was especially memorable for Teries Lisa Telford and Corrie McCaig, who were announced as winners.

    Thirty-three-year-old Lisa Telford was awarded the Citizenship Award as part of the level 2 horse group, in recognition of their hard work and dedication in a number of volunteering roles.
