    Sandbed restaurant up for star award

    French restaurant Le 2016 has been nominated as a regional finalist in the Scottish Thistle Awards’ regional rising star category.

    Restaurant owner Eric Desneuf, who runs the Sandbed restaurant with his wife, is “absolutely delighted” to be nominated.

    “There are just the two of us working here. We opened on December 1 2016,” he said.

    “I’m very pleased with how busy it has been, and am delighted to have the restaurant nominated for an award.”

    Winners will be announced at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh on November 23.
