Significant savings are being sought by Live Borders, which could impact on the town’s Wilton Lodge Park museum and The Borders Textile Towrhouse.
In correspondence leaked to The Hawick Paper, staff on permanent contracts at Live Borders museums and galleries are being asked to consider early retirement or reduced hours.
The letter states “there is a significant saving requirement for 2018/19 which means all areas of Live Borders business will be reviewed for potential savings and/or re-engineering of services and job roles.”
