    Campaigners up the ante in bid to bring nursery to Burnfoot

    A call has been made for efforts to be “redoubled” in a bid to open a nursery at Burnfoot Community Hub.

    Speaking at last week’s Burnfoot Community Council meeting, Scottish Borders Council councillor, Stuart Marshall, said when plans were being drawn up for the hub back in 2007, everyone wanted a nursery.

    “We haven’t delivered on that,” he told hub manager Jan Pringle.

    “It’s not through the want of trying,” she replied.
