A local councillor is disappointed at the time it has taken Scottish Borders Council to announce the results of a recent pilot scheme to combat dog fouling in Wilton Lodge Park.
The scheme ended in May, but Councillor Stuart Marshall has been forced to write to the council director responsible for neighbourhood services to establish when the results will be forthcoming.
Speaking to The Hawick Paper this week, Councillor Marshall said: “I wrote on September 15 and have since discovered that the scheme has not been as successful as anticipated, and that the council are now preparing a series of recommendations and I now hope to get sight of these before Christmas.”
